The Community Development Division (CDD) is responsible for writing and administering Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grants. The
CDD has maintained a higher than average ratio of grants awarded versus grants applied for.
The region benefits immensely from CDBGs and other grant applications prepared by the SEGa RDC that have funded the enhancement of infrastructure, housing, waste
reduction, Immediate Threat and Danger needs, and Volunteer Fire Fighter Assistance.
Over the past 15 years, millions of dollars worth of projects can be attributed to this division.
